Learning To Trust Your Intuition & Ignore Your Mind – Part 3

…Continued from Learning To Trust Your Intuition & Ignore Your Mind – Part 2

Being Stuck Is Simply You Needing To Learn A Certain Lesson

We are fooled continuously by the illusion of being stuck. The problem is… it is a very good illusion. If you desire to not be stuck anymore, then you have to see through the illusion. And if you cannot see through it, then you have to accept that it is just… an illusion.

Accept the illusion as it is and look past it as the real reason why you appear to be stuck. Remember nothing in the Universe stands still, therefore unless you and your life are the single thing in the Universe which does… you are falling for the illusion and choosing to not look at the reality…. Which is….

You have not moved on because you Read the rest of this entry »

Learning To Trust Your Intuition & Ignore Your Mind – Part 2

By Andy Shaw | July 3, 2010

…Continued from Learning To Trust Your Intuition & Ignore Your Mind – Part 1

… Is it any wonder we repeat the mistakes and remain with the illusion of being stuck? We are trying to knock a nail into a wall with a bit of mouldy old Broccoli… talk about using the wrong tool for the job!

So Why Do We Feel We MUST Trust Our Mind?

The problem is for some unknown reason we believe we will lose everything or definitely lose out if we allow ourselves to follow our intuition… Yet at the exact moment of thinking this faulty way we should consider what we have already lost out of in our lives by not following our intuition!

And if you are in any doubt then let’s clarify exactly what that is…

If you are not living the life you desire then you’ve let your mind decide far too many times for you. The only way to start to create the life you desire is to learn to stop letting your inadequately equipped mind make all of the most important decisions for you!

I say inadequately equipped because how else would you describe using a tool that doesn’t understand the things you are asking it to make decisions on?

All I can say is thank goodness for biological urges and a lack of the mind bullsh*t which we humans build up as we age, otherwise the human race would die out in just a generation.

What do I mean? Well just imagine if you had left it solely to your mind to decide whether or not you should go and try and find a partner. If you had then the only decision it would have made is, you should stay at home and watch TV!

It had no experience so that was the best decision it could have made. Fortunately you trusted your hormones that forced you to make an intuitive logical decision to go out and try to find a mate!

What does this tell you? Read the rest of this entry »

Learning To Trust Your Intuition & Ignore Your Mind– Part 1

By Andy Shaw | July 2, 2010

Over the last few months you have got to meet first hand the nutter who’s running the show in your life. I am sure you will agree that it is remarkable how out of control we are when we actually look at the irrational, and at times, totally insane decisions we have let our egos make for us.

One of the problems you may have going forward is learning to trust your mind again. Can you be sure that your mind is now making rational, logical, intuitive decisions based on you attaining the life you desire, and not the one your irrational ego wants you to have?

So going forward you must become and remain present when making all decisions, or at the very least the really important ones. When you are unsure about a decision, there are two simple rules to follow:

Rule One, if you do not know what to do, then don’t do anything.

Rule Two, do not make a mind decision, make an instinctive decision.

If you just apply those two simple rules in your decision making process then you will save yourself time and a lot of wasted effort. What’s more, the good or bad the result you get will be the one you needed to get to aid you in getting exactly where you desire to go.

Now, I’m not talking about repeating the mistakes you’ve made in the past and therefore creating the illusion of being stuck. I am talking about making good mistakes, mistakes that give you the course corrections needed to get the life you desire.

Bear this in mind though, if you haven’t clearly, and I mean clearly defined where you want to go then all the decisions you reach until you have will of course be faulty. Not only that, but when you get to your blurred vision of the future then it will not be what you wanted it to be. So clarity here is essential.

So now I’ll explain why both of those rules need to be applied in this way Read the rest of this entry »

How To Create More Time

This to me is a fascinating subject… creating time!

You don’t have enough time right? There is never enough time to do everything right? Well guess what, there never will be… there is more to do than we could possibly ever do without feeling we should be doing more as well.

Here’s what you can do to create time Read the rest of this entry »

How To Kill Off Overwhelm For Good! Continued

So What About The Internal Pressure

Well with all that I do and am doing, it is easy for me to create overwhelm if I do not remain conscious. For example, I have 6 main projects on the go, and each of them has between 2 and 25 projects within them, and then those within them may have as many as over 100 tiny tentacles as well. Plus all of the bits that are not quite yet underway. So there are stacks of things to help me create overwhelm. However, I don’t have overwhelm. I don’t suffer from it at all. The worst I get is noticing a slight build up and then as I notice it… it goes away.

When you do your work, just because something has taken a lot of time, does not make it productive or worthwhile. You have to know what is going to produce the results for you and base your time management or asset allocation around result based time management.

The problem you, probably, and nearly everyone on Earth definitely has, is that you don’t EXACTLY know what you desire. So how can you effectively work out whether a task is productive?

Well even without having your desire detailed, you simply become present and ask yourself the question: – Read the rest of this entry »

How To Kill Off Overwhelm For Good! Continued

Continued from yesterday…

Anti-Procrastination And Problem Solving

Another key question to ask yourself is this one, and this is the one you want to be fully present for and observing your emotions when you ask it… “Am I just inventing these things to do, so that I avoid the important stuff?”

A good anti-procrastination technique on the tasks you still dislike is to set yourself deadlines which are too short and then make yourself do them. Or give yourself a fixed time of one hour to get done all you can.

However, this is a technique for you to use in the transition phase. As when you are through transitioning you will accept what you dislike as is and recognise that it just is and therefore does not warrant you allowing yourself to feel bad about doing it.

Why not? Because no thought stands still, each thought either takes you towards or away from what you desire… if it is not taking you towards it, then it must be hurting you.

Personally I am still transitioning myself with paperwork and when my inbox swells too much. Then when I get annoyed with them it is because I am not present. Later when I evaluate how Read the rest of this entry »

How To Kill Off Overwhelm For Good! Continued

Ok so time management… I don’t like this term and I don’t really like the idea of prioritising… as they both seem like real work and effort to me. So I don’t really think of them at all, I just apply certain things daily, weekly, monthly and yearly. And this is something that evolves, so I change this periodically.

As I just said I’m not really into time management, though I do enjoy reading Dan Kennedy’s book on it, ‘No Bullshit time management’ If you suffer with overwhelm then this is a great place to look to identify your areas of weakness. I re-read it twice a year to make sure I have bases covered and each time I have found something which I can improve and lower my effort.

What I Am Doing Wrong

Before I start I want you to understand that I am doing it wrong, I don’t advise you to copy me exactly as I have my own reasons for doing it the way I do. The reason I say this is I am going against what I know to be Read the rest of this entry »

Sub-Section – How To Kill Off Overwhelm For Good!

Overwhelm, this really is the new disease of the modern age. We are all so overwhelmed with everything all of the time that we get nothing accomplished. We continually feel that it doesn’t matter what we do, it doesn’t matter how much effort we apply that we cannot escape from being overwhelmed.

The modern way of communicating via email means we have given permission for everyone to contact us, as Dan Kennedy says, whenever they have a ‘brain fart!’ Not only that but advertisers know that you have got your TV sets with you now wherever you go.

Also there is an abundance of info out there on how to do literally anything. We truly live in the information age and it should be wonderful but it isn’t. It isn’t because we suffer with the disease of Overwhelm!

Well at least that’s my take on it, how about you? Are you constantly overwhelmed? Even after a day when you’ve accomplished a lot, do you still think of all you didn’t get done. Instead of what you did? In the end do you just force yourself to switch off to stop thinking about it. If it is not one of those then it will be something similar, the plague of overwhelm has virtually everyone suffering.

Here’s the problem with overwhelm where it comes to creating the life you desire… Read the rest of this entry »

Just Because We Have A Lot To Do Does Not Mean It All Needs Doing

The cause of failure is doing too many things in an inefficient way and not doing enough things in an efficient way.  So do all you can do in a perfect way every day, but do it without haste, without stress, without worry, and without fear. Go as fast as you can, but never hurry, never rush.

The moment you begin to hurry and rush you cease to be the creator and become the competitor, you are no longer present and you’ve dropped back to the old way again. So whenever you find yourself hurrying, simply Read the rest of this entry »

How To Know When It’s The Right Time To Take Action

If you are depressed then you are simply not enjoying your life at present (no shock there!). Depression is the same as all of the other aliments like fear, anxiety, stress and worry, it is just a non-acceptance of what is and a non-surrender to what is… Accept it and surrender to it and then you can lay this bit from your past down too. They say you need pills to cure depression, no… you need presence and self observation to cure it as I explained with curing, stress, anxiety and fear.

If you are present, then it is impossible to be depressed, if you are depressed then you are not present. They cannot exist together. The reason you are depressed is you are looking at all of what you see as your negatives and ignoring your positives. Read the rest of this entry »
